Walking Routes The best way to explore Berlin is by foot, using the excellent public transportation from time to time.
The most popular hiking route is from the Palace Bridge (Schlossbruecke) to the Brandenburg Gate. It can be made within 2-1 hours, but exploring it thoroughly takes at least half a day. Click here to follow it. Another route takes us from the Reichstag building to Embassies' quarter, through the parks of Tiergarten district. It may also be an extension to the first route as well. A third route is about Modern Berlin. It starts at Potsdam square, contiues at the Forum of Culture and ends at the embassies' region. Click here to hike this trail.

Less than 10 minutes by bus from Ku-damm, the Charlottenburg palace is located. It may be smart to add a walking route which includes the palace, its park and other places around. Click here to start.
